A plethora of high-end new styles for capes and ponchos were born this season. DKNY, Rag & Bone, and Edun created capes and ponchos that are a must – for the true fashionista.
Very masculine yet very feminine, the modern double-breasted coats and slouchy pants were the of-the-moment look for Dolce and Gabbana and Ralph Lauren.
5 Sheer Shoulders
Coquettish tops and dresses featuring netting at the shoulders will be a chief obsession. Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino are already obsessed.
Thakoon, Peter Som, and Marc Jacobs presented notable peplum silhouettes in their collections. Prefect for a voluminous look, texture and depth are added to this cooly understated style.
This crisp, eternal and ageless color combo was ubiquitous on the runways. Yves Saint Laurent and Prabal Gurung exquisitely put together black/white combinations.
Yet another season of leather dominance for the high-fashion staple! Louis Vuitton and Acne incorporated the material in everything from overalls to suits.
All about the details, the delicate, netted fabric is revealing yet exciting. The edgier spirit was obvious in Marc Jacobs and Collette Dinnigan runways.
Every outfit this season could use a glossy component for some added dimension. Some of the season’s best looks full of liquid shine came from Balmain, Calvin Klein and Alexander Wang.
