Tom Hanks has been in a lot of movies. He got his big break starring in TV series such as “Taxi” and “The Loveboat” then moved on to comedy flicks such as “Big,” and “The Man with One Red Shoe.” While Hanks is best known for his dramas in later years and his early 90s romantic comedies, there are several movies that he’s done that are fantastic and every Tom Hanks fan should see, even though they are lesser known.

While this is one of Tom Hanks many romantic comedies, it still has relevance today. This movie gets its origins from the start of the Internet, while now, it is still applicable as “catfishing” before its time. This is a hilarious romantic comedy in which Tom Hanks plays a man hating life and is effected by depression and hypochondria that he is barely living, until he comes down with a “brain cloud” and decides that he will save an island of people by jumping in a volcano to save them.
