When it comes to those closet workhorses, the sent-from-heaven “transitionals”, there’s a new motto for winter-turning-spring wear: must-haves for multitude! Ladies, as you have noticed, when it comes to picking out your outfit in the morning, you’ve been looking at your closet and armoire as the way a cat views a bath: disinterested.
This disinterest stems from the awkward transitional period between winter and spring months when you wonder what to wear. Many of us currently spend our mornings switching between skirts and jeans, deciding which are more weather appropriate. To think, you would prefer not to buy winter clothes or new spring items because you never know what the weather will bring next. And for those who lived in a winter wonderland this winter, you’ve had your share of unpredictable storms and have been confused as to weather you lived in your hometown, or the tundra.
Thus, a list of must-haves for every woman’s wardrobe to expunge the barrage of styling concerns and to prep for a multitude of occasions.
Contents
1 Neutral-colored party frocks
The color should flatter your skin tone and should fit you perfectly. A go-to item, this dress can be a splurge, and empty your piggy bank..but it’s SO worth it. If you’re going to buy a closet – staple dress , make sure that its nothing less than perfection.
2 Nude heels
Though black heels are classic too, they usually don’t go without brown and are iffy when it comes to navy shades. Hello fashion disaster. To say, nude colored pumps go with any shade and elongate the leg.
3 A leather jacket
It can be worn during almost every season and adds edge to any outfit. Even if you’re wearing a Hanes white tee and cut-off jean shorts, a leather jacket spices up your look and immediately dresses you up.
4 Ballet flats
They should fit your feet perfectly and should be wearable on multiple occasions. Downtown or uptown, comfortable and classic, ballet flats never seem to go out of style.
5 Dark wash, Shaped jeans
This wash is universally flattering as shape should be too. The leg opening should compliment your body type – don’t try to make yourself fit into jeans that you know don’t work for you. Invest in a couple of pairs that will last a long time and that will always make you look your best.
So instead of buying clothes that you may not be able to wear for months, buy clothes that are always wearable (circa, this fabulous article).
