101965 Dhanbad coalmine accident (India, 375 casualties)
India’s Dhanbad coalmine dealt with its own chaotic explosion between the 27th and 28th of May. The explosion in Dhanbad took 375 miners lives and was caused when a lantern was ignited and brought into the underground gallery. According to management, this was an intentional action from a saboteur, a claim that does not have much validity to it.
